Towa Bird has released her new single “Gentleman,” marking her first major solo release of 2026. The Interscope Records track, titled “Gentleman,” arrives alongside an official music video and signals a confident evolution for the Hong Kong-born, Los Angeles-based alt-rock artist.
Following the success of her 2024 debut album American Hero, Towa Bird’s “Gentleman” shifts from emotional vulnerability toward composed, flirtatious swagger. The single introduces a gender-bending reinterpretation of rock bravado, pairing punchy drums and kinetic bass with Bird’s signature guitar riffs.
“Gentleman” Expands Towa Bird’s Alt-Rock Persona
Produced by Patrick Wimberly (MGMT, Blood Orange), “Gentleman” blends polished alt-pop textures with punk-leaning energy. From its opening riff, Towa Bird establishes a tone of playful authority. The chorus functions as both hook and thesis, positioning her not as the object of desire but as its architect.

The “Gentleman” music video, directed by Charlie Denis, uses slow-motion and reverse-shot sequences to visualize Bird’s transformation into the embodiment of the gentleman archetype. The cinematic styling amplifies the track’s themes of seduction, autonomy, and self-defined identity.
Towa Bird’s profile has continued to rise since American Hero earned praise from Billboard and Rolling Stone. She has supported Reneé Rapp on tour and joined Billie Eilish’s “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR” as direct support. In 2025, she contributed “Your Girl” to the Netflix series Nobody Wants This and became the face of Miu Miu.
With “Gentleman,” Towa Bird sharpens her image without sacrificing edge. The single and official music video are available now.
