Ado has released her new single “AiAiA” alongside a debut performance on THE FIRST TAKE, marking the track’s first official live presentation. The release arrives as Ado celebrates five years since her breakout debut “Usseewa” and continues to expand her global audience.
“AiAiA” first surfaced during her “Yodaka” dome tour in Japan before building momentum through a serialized teaser rollout across her social channels. Written, composed, and arranged by Kikuo, the track leans into a volatile, amusement-park-like sound design that mirrors Ado’s ability to move between chaos and control without losing clarity.
On “THE FIRST TAKE,” the performance strips away spectacle and centers her voice. Backed by Phantom Siita, the idol group she produces, the arrangement adds layered harmonies while maintaining the minimal, one-take format that defines the series. The result feels more exposed, with the track’s intensity carried almost entirely through vocal delivery.
The release follows a stretch of sustained visibility. Her appearance in the “Vivarium” music video reached #3 on YouTube’s global daily ranking, reinforcing her position as one of the most dominant voices in contemporary J-pop with growing international reach.

Ado’s expansion beyond recorded music continues. She will appear at Lollapalooza 2026 and headline Zipangu, a large-scale Japanese music event presented by Goldenvoice at Rose Bowl on May 16. The event marks one of the most significant U.S. showcases dedicated entirely to Japanese music and culture.
She has also announced a Blu-ray and DVD release of Ado WORLD TOUR 2025 “Hibana” Powered by Crunchyroll, documenting a tour that spanned five continents, 34 shows, and roughly 500,000 attendees. The run included sold-out arena dates at Crypto.com Arena and Prudential Center, setting a new benchmark for global touring by a Japanese artist.
“AiAiA” does not read as a one-off release. It extends a trajectory that has been building steadily, where scale increases but the core remains intact. The performance on “THE FIRST TAKE” narrows that focus even further, reducing everything down to voice, control, and presence.
