Swae Lee has officially announced his debut solo album Same Difference and released the project’s first single, “Flammable,” marking a defining moment for the Rae Sremmurd star as he enters a new chapter ahead of Coachella 2026.
The announcement confirms what fans have been anticipating for years: Same Difference will be Swae Lee’s first full-length solo album, separating his singular melodic instincts from the Rae Sremmurd duo framework. The project arrives during what he has dubbed his Gemini era — a phase defined by reinvention, duality, and sharpened autonomy.
“Flammable” Signals the Sound of Same Difference
Produced by Rosen, “Flammable” blends cinematic, Just Blaze-style grandeur with modern Atlanta trap percussion. The record highlights what has always made Swae Lee one of rap’s most distinctive stylists: elastic melodies, playful one-liners, and an instinct for hooks that feel both effortless and engineered for scale.
“My fans been waiting to eat. Let the feast begin,” Swae said of the new era.
The official “Flammable” video, directed by Logan Meis, leans into Southern spectacle. Set against a backcountry bayou backdrop, the clip features a flamethrower, fanboats, and high-gloss chaos that nods to Swae Lee’s Mississippi roots while reinforcing his larger-than-life charisma.

Swae Lee Returns to Coachella 2026
The release of “Flammable” arrives just weeks before Swae Lee’s scheduled return to the Coachella stage in April 2026, positioning Same Difference in front of a global festival audience. The timing is strategic, especially as Rae Sremmurd’s catalog experiences renewed momentum.
“Black Beatles,” originally released in 2016, recently achieved Diamond certification and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks during its original run. The track has since reentered cultural circulation through nostalgia-driven social media trends, further amplifying interest in Swae Lee’s solo trajectory.
Beyond music, Swae Lee continues expanding his cultural footprint. In October, he helped set a Guinness World Records title during the launch of Ninja Gaiden 4, underscoring his crossover appeal beyond traditional hip-hop lanes.
With “Flammable,” Swae Lee makes it clear that Same Difference is not a side project. It is a formal solo arrival.
“Flammable” is available now on all streaming platforms. Same Difference is coming soon.
