KATSEYE is expanding its rapidly growing global universe beyond music with the announcement of KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a new theatrical film arriving in cinemas worldwide beginning August 12. The limited engagement serves as both a celebration of the group’s meteoric rise and a lead-in to the release of their highly anticipated third EP, WILD, which follows two days later on August 14 via HYBE x Geffen Records.
Produced by Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures in partnership with HYBE x Geffen, the documentary offers fans an intimate look inside one of pop music’s fastest-rising acts. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nadia Hallgren, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS combines exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, personal interviews, and fan-submitted videos from the group’s dedicated global fanbase, EYEKONS, creating what the filmmakers describe as a love letter to the community that helped launch KATSEYE onto the international stage.
Rather than functioning as a traditional concert film, WILD HEARTS traces the group’s evolution from the intense training and competition of Dream Academy to becoming one of the most successful emerging acts in contemporary pop. The documentary explores the sacrifices, setbacks, and breakthrough moments that shaped KATSEYE’s journey while highlighting the close relationship between the six members and their worldwide fandom.
The film arrives during what has already become a landmark year for the group.
Following the release of their 2025 EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which debuted inside the Top Five of the Billboard 200, KATSEYE has continued building momentum through chart success, major festival appearances, and industry recognition. Earlier this year, the group delivered the live debut of their latest single “PINKY UP” during their first-ever performance at Coachella, introducing audiences to the next chapter of their evolving sound.
Their rise has been equally impressive away from the stage. KATSEYE earned two GRAMMY Award nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the hit single “Gabriela.” They were also named TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year and swept all three categories in which they were nominated at the American Music Awards, taking home honors for New Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Pop Artist, and Best Music Video for “Gnarly.”
Much of that success has been fueled by the group’s unique origin story.

Formed through the groundbreaking collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, KATSEYE emerged from the global audition series Dream Academy, later chronicled in Netflix’s Pop Star Academy. The project combined HYBE’s renowned K-pop artist development system with Geffen’s global music infrastructure to create the first U.S.-based international girl group built using the Korean training model. The result is a multinational lineup representing North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond, giving KATSEYE a truly global identity that has resonated with audiences worldwide.
That international appeal continues with WILD, the group’s third EP, which promises to build on the creative momentum established by BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. While full details surrounding the project remain under wraps, the release signals another major step forward for a group that has consistently embraced experimentation while balancing polished pop production with ambitious visual storytelling.
Fans won’t have to wait long to experience the new era live. KATSEYE’s THE WILDWORLD TOUR launches on September 1, with the global arena tour already completely sold out, underscoring the extraordinary demand surrounding the group’s next chapter.
Before that, however, audiences around the world will have the opportunity to experience KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS on the big screen. The documentary not only celebrates the group’s achievements but also offers a rare look behind the scenes at the determination, resilience, and community that transformed six aspiring performers into one of pop’s most exciting international success stories.
Tickets for the worldwide theatrical release of KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS go on sale July 15.
