Anderson .Paak Announces Star-Studded K-POPS! Soundtrack Featuring G-Dragon, aespa, JID, NMIXX, DEAN and More
Nine-time GRAMMY Award winner Anderson .Paak is bringing together some of the biggest names in K-pop, hip-hop, R&B and global pop music for the soundtrack to his highly anticipated Netflix film K-POPS!. Released May 29, K-POPS! (Music from and Inspired by the K-POPS! Motion Picture) features an impressive lineup that includes G-DRAGON, aespa, J.I.D, NMIXX, DEAN, CHUNG HA, SEVENTEEN’s JOSHUA, ATEEZ’s HONGJOONG, i-dle’s SOYEON, Jay Park and more.
The 17-track project serves as the musical companion to K-POPS!, Anderson .Paak’s feature directorial debut, which premiered globally on Netflix May 30. The soundtrack arrives one day earlier and reflects the film’s central themes of family, cultural identity, generational connection and the unifying power of music.
“I’m excited to finally share the K-POPS! movie and soundtrack with the world,” .Paak said in a statement. “The soundtrack blends genres and influences from across continents, and collaborating with so many talented artists made this project incredibly special. Every song comes from a real place, and together they tell the story of the film in a powerful way.”
Set against the backdrop of a fictional Seoul-based K-pop competition series, K-POPS! follows a father and son whose lives unexpectedly intersect through music. Anderson .Paak not only wrote and directed the film but also stars alongside his real-life son, Soul Rasheed, who makes his recorded music debut on the soundtrack with the song “Love Is Everywhere.”
Fans have already received a taste of the soundtrack through several high-profile releases. Earlier this year, .Paak teamed with global K-pop powerhouse aespa for the infectious single “Keychain,” while his recent collaboration with acclaimed Korean R&B artist DEAN, “Aftertaste,” showcased the soundtrack’s genre-blending ambitions. Both tracks are included on the upcoming album and help establish the project’s unique fusion of Korean pop, alternative R&B, hip-hop and contemporary soul.

Among the soundtrack’s most anticipated collaborations is a new version of “Too Bad,” the 2025 hit pairing Anderson .Paak with K-pop icon G-DRAGON. The original release reached the Billboard Global 200 and earned recognition at the MAMA Awards, making its inclusion a major draw for both Western and Asian audiences.
The soundtrack’s expansive guest list reads like a cross-section of contemporary global music. Alongside appearances from aespa, DEAN and G-DRAGON, the project features JID, NMIXX, CHUNG HA, Jay Park, JO1, Kevin Woo, HONGJOONG of ATEEZ, JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN and SOYEON of i-dle. Executive production comes from hitmaker Dem Jointz, whose credits include work with Jennie and Eminem, helping shape a project designed to bridge multiple genres and cultures.
The soundtrack arrives during one of the busiest and most successful periods of Anderson .Paak’s career. In addition to earning his 15th GRAMMY nomination earlier this year, he was recently named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026 and continues touring internationally alongside Bruno Mars under his DJ Pee .Wee persona. He has also recently collaborated with artists including CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso and NCT’s TAEYONG, further cementing his reputation as one of modern music’s most versatile creative forces.
With K-POPS!, Anderson .Paak expands his artistic vision beyond music into filmmaking while staying rooted in the collaborative spirit that has defined his career. Combining a globally minded soundtrack with a heartfelt coming-of-age story, the project represents one of the most ambitious crossover releases of 2026 and further highlights the growing influence of K-pop and Korean culture across the international entertainment landscape.
