Swedish pop innovator Tove Lo and Belgian multi-hyphenate Stromae have released the official music video for their collaboration “des fleurs,” continuing the rollout for Tove Lo’s highly anticipated sixth studio album, ESTRUS, arriving September 18 via Pretty Swede Records and Virgin Music Group.
Directed by French filmmaker Melchior Leroux, the striking visual complements the song’s emotional intensity with dreamlike imagery that underscores the chemistry between two of Europe’s most adventurous pop artists. The collaboration stands out as one of the centerpiece moments on ESTRUS, pairing Tove Lo’s fearless songwriting with Stromae’s unmistakable artistic voice.
The release follows Tove Lo’s announcement of ESTRUS, an album inspired by Scandinavian electronic music pioneers including The Knife and Robyn. Written and recorded across Los Angeles, Stockholm, and the Swedish coastal village where she spent childhood summers, the record explores instinct, desire, vulnerability, identity, and emotional contradiction through an unapologetically personal lens.
Speaking about the project, Tove Lo describes ESTRUS as an album driven by raw emotion rather than certainty.
“Estrus is an animal in heat. It’s primal. It’s my mind and my body wanting different things, wanting everything. There’s no good advice on this album… just a lot of feelings, no solutions.”
Longtime collaborator Ludvig Söderberg returns as a key creative partner alongside producers Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser, helping shape an electronic pop record that balances club-ready production with intimate storytelling. The 13-track album features songs including “I’m your girl right?,” “the bad one,” “roomie,” and the Stromae collaboration “des fleurs.”
The video also arrives as Tove Lo prepares for the ESTRUS Tour, launching September 15 in Nashville before visiting Chicago, Brooklyn, Toronto, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and major arenas throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. North American dates will feature support from Mallrat, with Cobrah joining the Brooklyn performance, while Rose Gray will support the European leg.

Since emerging as one of pop’s most distinctive voices, Tove Lo has built a career defined by radical honesty, blending themes of sexuality, heartbreak, addiction, and self-discovery into globally successful records. ESTRUS continues that tradition while embracing a more instinctive and emotionally exposed perspective, with “des fleurs” serving as one of its most compelling previews.
Fans can stream the “des fleurs” music video now, while ESTRUS arrives everywhere on September 18, 2026.
