Electronic music pioneer Kaskade has released “Freedom,” a new deep house single featuring vocalist EZI, marking the first track from the upcoming Om Records – 30 Years compilation celebrating the legendary San Francisco dance music label. The single arrives today, March 6, ahead of the compilation’s official release on May 8, 2026.
Built around warm synth textures, steady deep house rhythms, and atmospheric vocal layers, “Freedom” captures the nostalgic energy of classic dance music while maintaining Kaskade’s polished modern production style. EZI’s airy vocals glide across the track as Kaskade creates a five-minute anthem that evokes the feeling of driving alone at night and letting go of everything else.
The track also represents a meaningful full-circle moment for Kaskade and Om Records, the independent label that helped launch his early career.
“Om Records was the first label that believed in what I was doing. Thirty years later they’re still doing it right. I’m honored to celebrate this milestone with them,” Kaskade said about contributing to the anniversary release.
Om Records Celebrates 30 Years of Dance Music

The upcoming Om Records – 30 Years compilation highlights the label’s lasting influence on deep house and electronic music culture. Founded in San Francisco in 1995, Om Records has become one of the longest-running and most respected dance music labels in the United States, with more than 800 releases spanning three decades.
Several singles from the anniversary project have already been released, including “Summer Haze” by Samantha James and Late Night Alumni, “Stay On My Mind” by Mark Farina, Homero Espinosa, and Dani Siciliano, “Do It Right” by Groove Armada, “The Sunshine” by Colette, Richard Earnshaw, and Kenny Summit, and “Wind Trades” by J Boogie’s Dubtronic Science and Carlos Araiza.
Kaskade’s early work with Om Records, including tracks like “It’s You, It’s Me,” “Gonna Make It,” and “What I Say,” helped define the sound of American deep house during the early 2000s. His albums It’s You, It’s Me and In the Moment remain influential releases within electronic music.
With “Freedom,” Kaskade returns to the label that helped shape his career, delivering a fitting opening track for a compilation celebrating 30 years of Om Records and the evolution of dance music.
