Noise Pop Festival 2026 returned to San Francisco for its 33rd year with one of the largest editions in the festival’s history, bringing more than 170 artists to over 20 venues across the Bay Area. Running from February 19 through March 1, the beloved citywide festival once again transformed San Francisco into a multi-night celebration of independent music, emerging artists, and the creative community that has sustained the event for more than three decades.

This second installment of our Noise Pop Festival 2026 photo recap captures more of the performances, venues, and crowd moments that defined this year’s festival. From intimate club stages to packed late-night sets, Noise Pop’s multi-venue format continues to offer something rare in today’s festival landscape: the chance to discover artists up close in the same rooms where San Francisco’s indie music history was built.
The 2026 lineup balanced national touring acts, cult favorites, and an impressive slate of Bay Area artists, with more than half of the performers coming from the local scene. Artists including Shannon Shaw, Christopher Owens, Rogue Wave, WISP, P.E.E., and Nuzzle represented the depth of the Bay Area’s independent music community while sharing bills with touring artists from across the country.
Across venues such as Bottom of the Hill, Rickshaw Stop, Great American Music Hall, and dozens of neighborhood stages, festivalgoers moved between shows throughout the city, creating the kind of spontaneous, choose-your-own-adventure experience that has defined Noise Pop since its founding in 1993.

One of the most emotional moments of Noise Pop Festival 2026 was the farewell concert series honoring Bottom of the Hill, the legendary San Francisco venue where the festival first began in 1994. Over several nights, artists including Illuminati Hotties, Jeffrey Lewis & The Voltage, Hudson Freeman, and P.E.E. with Nuzzle gathered to celebrate the venue’s enduring influence on the Bay Area music scene.
More than thirty years after its founding, Noise Pop remains one of America’s last truly independent citywide music festivals, built on a foundation of artist discovery, community support, and San Francisco’s long-standing creative spirit.
