Angine de Poitrine have released their new album Vol. II, marking the latest evolution of the experimental duo’s microtonal noise rock sound. The new album Vol. II is available now, arriving alongside the announcement of an extensive 2026 tour that will bring the group to major cities across North America and Europe.
The release of Vol. II builds on the growing momentum behind Angine de Poitrine, whose reputation has expanded rapidly through viral live performances and increasing critical attention. Known for blending acid techno, disco, and rock into dense, looping compositions, the duo continues to push beyond traditional song structure with a sound that is both hypnotic and abrasive.
At the center of Vol. II is the single “Fabienk,” which captures the band’s signature approach. Built around a repeating microtonal guitar loop, the track evolves through layered rhythms and shifting textures, creating a sense of constant movement without abandoning its core pattern. This approach has become a defining characteristic of Angine de Poitrine’s sound, where repetition and transformation operate simultaneously.
The group’s breakout visibility has been fueled in part by their widely viewed Live on KEXP performance, which has introduced their unconventional style to a broader audience and helped position them within the current wave of experimental rock acts gaining traction in 2026.
Operating as an anonymous project, Angine de Poitrine is centered around the personas Khn de Poitrine and Klek de Poitrine. Their work emphasizes process over identity, with compositions built through the addition and subtraction of rhythmic and tonal elements in real time.
Alongside the release of Vol. II, Angine de Poitrine have announced 2026 tour dates, including their first headline shows in several major U.S. markets. The upcoming run marks a significant expansion of their live presence.
