Towa Bird is entering her next chapter with clarity and control.
The rising alt-pop and rock artist has announced her sophomore album Gentleman, set for release on May 15 via Interscope Records. Alongside the album announcement, Towa Bird has released her new single “Dirty Habit,” arriving with an official music video that signals a bold evolution in both sound and visual identity.
The Gentleman album follows her 2024 debut American Hero and positions Towa Bird at a turning point in her career. While her debut leaned into tight, guitar-driven pop-punk, Gentleman expands that foundation into a more layered, synth-forward and cinematic direction. The project reframes the idea of the “gentleman” as a modern, queer-coded identity, blending masculinity, femininity, confidence, vulnerability, and performance into a fully realized artistic concept.
“Dirty Habit” introduces that shift immediately. The single is driven by pulsing synths, sharp rhythms, and a slightly chaotic energy that mirrors its subject matter. Lyrically, the track delivers a satirical critique of privilege and excess, taking aim at the entitlement of wealth while maintaining the immediacy of a high-impact pop record. Towa Bird co-wrote “Dirty Habit” with Reneé Rapp, alongside producer Patrick Wimberly, who leads production across the Gentleman album. The project also features contributions from Kathleen Hanna, further grounding the album in a lineage of boundary-pushing alternative music.

The official “Dirty Habit” music video, directed by Caio Vieira, draws inspiration from After Hours. Set across a surreal night in Paris, the visual follows Towa Bird as situations spiral from controlled to unpredictable, reflecting both the song’s narrative and the album’s broader themes of identity and chaos.
Recorded between Brooklyn and Los Angeles after a year of heavy touring, Gentleman captures an artist refining her voice while expanding her scope. The album’s tracklist, which includes songs like “Gentleman,” “Dirty Habit,” and “Afterglow,” balances attitude with introspection, reinforcing Towa Bird’s ability to move between sharp-edged commentary and emotional vulnerability.

With the Gentleman album release date set for May 15 and “Dirty Habit” already generating momentum, Towa Bird is positioning herself as one of the defining alt-pop voices heading into 2026.
