K-pop’s fastest-rising global girl group enters its next era with a fearless new anthem, a cinematic music video featuring Demi Moore, and an ambitious slate of releases.
KATSEYE is turning up the intensity ahead of one of the biggest months of its career. The two-time GRAMMY-nominated global girl group has released “Animal,” the latest single from its forthcoming EP WILD, offering fans another glimpse into the project’s bold creative direction before the record arrives on August 14 via HYBE x Geffen Records.
Written alongside Ed Sheeran and produced by hitmakers Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, “Animal” embraces instinct over inhibition. Built around sleek pop production, magnetic vocal performances, and infectious hooks, the track explores the contrast between the polished versions of ourselves presented to the world and the untamed personalities that emerge in private. Rather than treating vulnerability or desire as something to conceal, KATSEYE reframes those impulses as a source of confidence, empowerment, and self-expression.
The songwriting marks another significant collaboration for the group, with Ed Sheeran contributing to a song that balances mainstream pop sensibilities with the fearless attitude KATSEYE has continued to cultivate since their debut. Meanwhile, producers Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, whose collective credits include The Kid LAROI, Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, and Lil Nas X, deliver a polished yet energetic backdrop that allows the group’s vocal chemistry to shine.
The accompanying music video expands the song’s themes through surreal, cinematic storytelling. Directed by Cody Critcheloe, who previously helmed KATSEYE’s acclaimed videos for “Gnarly” and “Touch,” the visual unfolds inside a mysterious world of observation rooms, mirrored realities, and constantly shifting identities.
Throughout the video, the members move fluidly between feminine and masculine archetypes as the boundaries separating observer and participant begin to dissolve. Carefully choreographed performances, bold fashion choices, and dreamlike imagery reinforce the song’s exploration of identity, instinct, and transformation. The visual also features a surprise cameo from Academy Award-nominated actress, producer, and bestselling author Demi Moore, adding another high-profile collaborator to the group’s growing creative universe.
“Animal” serves as the latest preview of WILD, KATSEYE’s third EP and the highly anticipated follow-up to 2025’s BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. That project debuted inside the Top Five of the Billboard 200 and produced the global hit “Gnarly,” helping establish the six-member group as one of pop’s fastest-growing international acts.
The WILD era first began taking shape earlier this year when KATSEYE made its Coachella debut, introducing fans to the project’s first single, “PINKY UP.” That performance signaled a more confident, adventurous artistic direction, one that continues with “Animal” and the broader themes surrounding the upcoming EP.

The group’s expanding narrative will also extend beyond music through KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a theatrical film arriving in cinemas beginning August 12. Designed as a celebration of both the group and its rapidly growing fanbase, the limited theatrical release offers audiences an intimate look at KATSEYE’s evolution while exploring the creative journey behind their newest era.
Following the release of WILD, KATSEYE will launch its biggest live production to date with THE WILDWORLD TOUR. Produced by Live Nation, the arena trek begins September 1 in Dublin before traveling throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Mexico, and North America. Demand has already been extraordinary, with the entire tour selling out within 48 hours of tickets going on sale. Additional performances were added in major markets including London, New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico City, with those shows also selling out shortly afterward.
KATSEYE’s rapid ascent has been equally remarkable. Formed through HYBE and Geffen Records’ groundbreaking global audition project, the group has quickly evolved into one of contemporary pop’s most internationally recognized new acts. Their multicultural lineup, genre-crossing sound, and ambitious visual storytelling continue to distinguish them from traditional pop groups while building a passionate worldwide fan community.
With Animal now available, WILD arriving in August, a feature film headed to theaters, and a sold-out international arena tour on the horizon, KATSEYE enters the second half of 2026 with extraordinary momentum. If the new single is any indication, the group’s wildest chapter may still be ahead.
