Twelve-time GRAMMY-nominated producer, songwriter, and artist benny blanco has officially kicked off a new era with the announcement of his forthcoming studio album, Hermoso. Alongside the announcement, blanco has released the project’s first single, “Joven y Salvaje,” featuring rising Spanish rapper Bb trickz, offering listeners an early look at the album’s adventurous sonic palette.
While benny blanco has spent much of the last decade shaping some of pop music’s biggest hits behind the scenes, Hermoso appears poised to showcase another evolution of his own artistic identity. Known for his ability to seamlessly move between pop, hip-hop, alternative, Latin, and electronic music, blanco once again leans into collaboration while pushing beyond familiar formulas.
“Joven y Salvaje” is built around a hypnotic looping melody and understated French house-inspired production. Rather than overwhelming the listener with layers, blanco allows the song to breathe, creating space for Bb trickz’s laid-back delivery to become the focal point. The repeated phrase “joven y salvaje,” meaning “young and wild,” gives the track its infectious hook before the song unexpectedly dissolves into a distorted, hyperpop-inspired finale that dramatically shifts its atmosphere.
The accompanying music video, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jake Schreier, reflects the same balance between restraint and chaos. Set inside a stark white room, the visual follows Bb trickz as she casually performs while gradually dressing in full racing gear, including gloves, a helmet, and a protective jumpsuit. Once fully suited, the pristine environment erupts with explosions of fireworks, transforming the minimalist setting into something surreal and unpredictable.
The single offers the first glimpse into Hermoso, which appears to continue blanco’s long-running fascination with unexpected musical contrasts. Throughout his career, the producer has built an extraordinary résumé spanning collaborations with artists including Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, BTS, Juice WRLD, Halsey, Khalid, SZA, and Maroon 5, helping shape countless global hits while remaining one of pop’s most influential creative forces.
Now, with Hermoso, blanco once again steps into the spotlight as both producer and curator. Rather than chasing trends, “Joven y Salvaje” feels intentionally understated, favoring atmosphere, groove, and experimentation over immediate radio bombast. The collaboration with Bb trickz also signals blanco’s continued interest in international voices and genre-crossing partnerships that have increasingly defined contemporary pop music.

Although additional details surrounding Hermoso remain under wraps, “Joven y Salvaje” suggests listeners can expect an album willing to blur stylistic boundaries while maintaining the melodic instincts that have made benny blanco one of the most successful producers of his generation.
“Joven y Salvaje” is available now on all major streaming platforms, while Hermoso is available to pre-save ahead of its official release.
