YOASOBI have officially released their highly anticipated new album, THE BOOK for,, marking the fourth and final chapter in the duo’s celebrated THE BOOK series. The project arrives as another milestone for composer Ayase and vocalist ikura, whose blend of literary storytelling, J-pop, and electronic production has transformed them into one of Japan’s most influential musical exports.
The album introduces the brand-new track “Orion,” an original song inspired by a short story from Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch. The collaboration extends beyond the music itself, with a special Overwatch Edition of the album and an exclusive U.S. vinyl release featuring limited-edition artwork. Beginning June 30, Overwatch players will also be able to unlock YOASOBI-inspired cosmetics and rewards inside the game, further expanding the partnership between the global gaming franchise and the chart-topping duo.
The title THE BOOK for, carries multiple meanings. It represents both the fourth installment of the series and a message dedicated “for everyone who receives our music.” The comma placed at the end of the title symbolizes that while this chapter concludes the THE BOOK collection, YOASOBI’s creative journey is far from finished.
Since debuting in 2019 with the breakthrough single “Into The Night (Yoru ni Kakeru),” YOASOBI have become one of Japan’s biggest international success stories. Their music has consistently broken streaming records, including “Idol,” which dominated the Billboard Japan Hot 100 for 22 consecutive weeks and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. Earlier hits such as “Monster (Kaibutsu)” also earned international acclaim, with TIME naming it among the best songs of 2021.

The release of THE BOOK for, comes as YOASOBI prepare for their Never Ending Stories North American Tour, their largest run across the continent to date. The tour includes arena performances at Boston’s TD Garden, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, Oakland Arena, and the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The duo will also appear at major festivals including Lollapalooza and Montréal’s OSHEAGA, marking their first-ever Canadian performance.
Having already headlined New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, performed at Coachella, London’s OVO Arena Wembley, and Primavera Sound Barcelona, YOASOBI continue to expand their global reach. With THE BOOK for, the duo closes one era while opening another, reinforcing their reputation for combining imaginative storytelling with genre-defying pop that resonates with audiences around the world.
