beabadoobee has announced her fourth studio album, Pylon, arriving September 18 via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records. Alongside the announcement, the British indie rock star has released the album’s lead single, “Sun Has Set,” accompanied by an official music video and revealed her biggest headline tour to date, the Powerlines Tour, which will bring her to arenas across North America, the UK, and Europe beginning October 1.
The announcement follows the success of 2024’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which became beabadoobee’s first No. 1 album on the UK Official Albums Chart and further established Beatrice Laus as one of alternative music‘s defining voices.
The title Pylon takes inspiration from the towering electrical structures that line highways around the world. During years of nonstop touring, those familiar landmarks became symbols of home, connection, and the emotional distance that shaped the album. Across 14 tracks, Pylon explores isolation, anxiety, identity, and personal growth while embracing a heavier, guitar-driven sound influenced by ’90s alternative rock, grunge, Midwest emo, and modern indie rock.
Released today, “Sun Has Set” offers the first glimpse into the emotional world of Pylon. Written as one of several deeply personal songs that began as diary entries, the single channels unresolved anger and unspoken emotions through crashing guitars and raw lyricism. The accompanying music video was directed by longtime creative collaborator and partner Jake Erland, continuing the visual partnership that has helped define beabadoobee’s artistic evolution.
Pylon also features an impressive lineup of collaborators spanning alternative rock and indie music. Hayley Williams appears on the empowering anthem “Nothing to Prove,” while Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates joins beabadoobee on “Powerlines.” Additional contributions come from Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, Title Fight guitarist Shane Moran, and longtime collaborators Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975, who contributed production to “Write Me A Letter.”
To support the album, beabadoobee will embark on The Powerlines Tour, marking the first arena headlining tour of her career. Beginning October 1 in Uncasville, Connecticut, the tour includes major stops at Madison Square Garden in New York City, The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Oakland Arena, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, London‘s The O2, Manchester’s AO Arena, Paris’ Zenith, Amsterdam’s AFAS Live, and Berlin’s Tempodrom before concluding in Germany in December. Wisp will support the North American, Canadian, and UK dates, while Violet Grohl joins select European performances.
Before launching the arena tour, beabadoobee will perform at several major summer festivals, including Hinterland Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and a special Lollapalooza aftershow at Chicago’s Salt Shed.

Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Beatrice Laus has become one of the most influential artists in contemporary alternative music. Across three acclaimed albums and multiple EPs, she has accumulated more than 10 billion global streams while earning BRIT Award nominations, BBC Sound of recognition, and widespread critical acclaim for blending indie rock, shoegaze, bedroom pop, and alternative influences into a distinctive songwriting voice. With Pylon, beabadoobee expands that sound into her most ambitious and emotionally direct project yet.
