Surfbort have officially announced their new album Reality Star, arriving March 6 via TODO Records. The third studio LP, titled Reality Star, marks the band’s first full-length release since 2021’s Keep On Truckin’ and their debut on TODO Records.
The Los Angeles-based punk group first previewed Reality Star with singles “Jessica’s Changed” and “Lucky,” both of which capture the band’s signature collision of raw punk abrasion and off-kilter pop melody. With Reality Star, Surfbort double down on contradiction: chaotic yet precise, feral yet strangely hook-driven.
Surfbort’s Reality Star Expands Their Punk Identity
Across 14 tracks, Reality Star channels the spirit of Black Flag and Dead Kennedys while weaving in flashes of grunge-era vulnerability and new-wave eccentricity. Frontwoman Dani Miller remains the band’s core force, shifting between brash low-register sneers and melodic, almost dreamy refrains. The result feels both modern and nostalgically unhinged.

The album was recorded by Adam Laidlaw, Riff Cuéllar, and Luis Flores, mixed by Laidlaw, and mastered at The Boat in Los Angeles in 2025. Production keeps Surfbort’s live-wire volatility intact while tightening the songwriting focus.
Surfbort have built a reputation for explosive live performances, previously sharing stages with Idles, Wolf Alice, The Garden, and Viagra Boys, and performing at Coachella. Early singles from Reality Star have earned praise from Rolling Stone, VICE, Alternative Press, FLOOD, Kerrang!, and Clash.

To celebrate the release of Reality Star, the band will play record release shows in Austin (March 15 at Radio East), Los Angeles (March 27 at Zebulon), and New York City (April 3 at Night Club 101).
The Reality Star tracklist includes “Lucky,” “Peaches and Cream,” “Hot Dog,” “Mk Ultra,” “Rebel,” “Reality Star,” and “Jessica’s Changed.”
