Hawaiian superstar Maoli is continuing his breakout year with the release of “Golden Days,” his contribution to Moana: Voices Across the Ocean, the companion album for Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Moana. The uplifting new track arrives as the singer-songwriter prepares to release his highly anticipated album MMO3 on August 28 via ONErpm, further cementing his place as one of the leading voices bringing island music to a global audience.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer J-Vibe (Jason Farmer), MMO3 serves as the third installment in Maoli’s popular Maoli Music Overload series. The 12-track collection continues the band’s signature fusion of roots reggae, island soul, and modern country while celebrating the values that have become central to Maoli’s music: family, love, positivity, and unity. The project follows the overwhelming success of the first two MMO releases in 2023, which helped push Maoli’s catalog past 1.1 billion lifetime streams.
The upcoming album features previously released singles “Good On You,” “Some Are Just Better,” “Clarity” featuring Kabaka Pyramid, “Feels Like Love,” and “Runnin’ Me Off” with Maddie Font of Maddie & Tae. Together, the songs continue to showcase Maoli’s ability to blend Hawaiian musical traditions with contemporary country songwriting and reggae grooves, creating a sound that resonates well beyond the islands.
The new release follows one of the biggest stretches of Maoli’s career. In 2025, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut, appeared on NBC’s TODAY, surprised a contestant during an appearance on American Idol, and completed his successful “Last Sip of Summer Tour” across the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The international trek included performances at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, Los Angeles‘ Greek Theatre, New York’s Webster Hall, and multiple sold-out shows throughout New Zealand.
Maoli’s path into country music has developed naturally alongside his reggae foundation. While his career first gained traction through island music, he has increasingly embraced country influences after recognizing the shared storytelling traditions, heartfelt melodies, and close-knit community values that connect both genres. That crossover appeal has helped establish him as one of Hawaii’s most recognizable musical ambassadors while introducing new audiences to contemporary island music.
Fans will have several opportunities to hear the new material live this summer. Maoli’s upcoming tour includes appearances at the Northwest Washington Fair, Concerts on the Slopes in Utah, Reggae on the Rocks at Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a hometown performance in Hilo, Hawaii, and Louisville’s Bourbon & Beyond festival before MMO3 officially arrives on August 28.

With “Golden Days” expanding his reach through Disney’s Moana universe and MMO3 poised to continue his remarkable momentum, Maoli is entering another defining chapter of a career that continues to bridge Hawaiian culture, reggae rhythms, and country storytelling for audiences around the world.
