FIGHTMASTER is locking into a full-length moment.
The artist has announced their debut album Tolerance, due June 5, alongside lead single “All or Nothing,” a synth-driven track that leans more into tension than payoff.
The shift is immediate. Where earlier EPs felt exploratory, Tolerance sounds more deliberate, less concerned with landing cleanly and more focused on sitting inside the mess of it. The writing pulls from personal experience but widens out into patterns, how people repeat themselves in relationships, how they try to grow, and how often that doesn’t happen in a straight line.
“All or Nothing” carries that idea without overexplaining it. It plays like a bluff, confident on the surface but unstable underneath, never fully resolving whether it’s a demand or a defense. The production follows that lead. It’s tight and forward, but never so polished that it loses friction.
That balance runs through the album. Tolerance was built with a broader group of collaborators than Fightmaster has worked with before, including Riley Geare, Casey Kalmensen, and Gabe Goodman, giving the record more range without flattening its point of view.
There’s also a noticeable shift in tone. Instead of smoothing things out, the songs leave space for discomfort. They don’t try to wrap themselves up neatly, which ends up feeling more honest than anything overly resolved.

Outside the studio, that same trajectory is playing out live. Fightmaster heads out this spring for a run of headline dates, alongside support slots with Lucy Dacus and Lord Huron. The routing moves from smaller rooms into larger stages, including a stop at Red Rocks, giving the material room to settle before scaling up.
It’s a practical rollout, but it matches the record. Nothing rushed, nothing forced into a moment it hasn’t earned yet.
For an artist who’s been building steadily across EPs and other work, Tolerance doesn’t feel like a debut in the traditional sense. It feels like everything tightening at once, sound, perspective, and intent.
“All or Nothing” is out now. Tolerance arrives June 5.
