Jenevieve is extending the visual world of her acclaimed sophomore album with the release of the official video for “Fleur-De-Lis,” her hypnotic collaboration with Lous and The Yakuza. Filmed in Brussels, Belgium, the cinematic visual arrives fresh off the conclusion of Jenevieve’s global CRYSALIS Tour, further cementing the ambitious artistic vision behind one of contemporary R&B’s most immersive projects.
Drawn from the deluxe edition, CRYSALIS (CODA), “Fleur-De-Lis” pairs Jenevieve’s dreamy vocal style with the unmistakable presence of Congolese-Belgian artist Lous and The Yakuza. Together, the two artists create a track that feels both intimate and expansive, blending alternative R&B, art-pop aesthetics, and understated emotional depth.
The new visual continues the carefully constructed narrative surrounding CRYSALIS (CODA), which expanded the original album with six additional songs and an impressive roster of collaborators. Rather than functioning as a traditional deluxe release, CRYSALIS (CODA) serves as an extension of the album’s creative universe, giving fans a deeper look into the sonic and visual identity Jenevieve has cultivated.
“Fleur-De-Lis” follows a string of visually striking releases from the project, including “Hvnly” featuring TWICE member JIHYO, “Waiting Room” with Jordan Ward, and “Flight Risqué” featuring Freddie Gibbs and SALIMATA. Each installment has emphasized Jenevieve’s commitment to cinematic storytelling, favoring mood, atmosphere, and artistic cohesion over conventional music video formulas.
That same attention to detail has defined the CRYSALIS era from the beginning. Throughout the album, Jenevieve blends lush R&B melodies with experimental production, vintage soul influences, and contemporary pop sensibilities, creating a sound that feels timeless without relying on nostalgia.
The momentum behind CRYSALIS has also translated into significant career milestones. Following sold-out European dates, Jenevieve brought the CRYSALIS Tour across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, introducing her evolving live show to an increasingly global audience. Along the way, the project earned praise from NPR, Billboard, VIBE, and The FADER, while the single “Head Over Heels” became her first No. 1 record at R&B radio and reached the Top 5 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Earlier this year, Jenevieve was also named an iHeartRadio On The Verge Artist and received a nomination for Best New Artist (R&B) at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, reflecting the growing recognition surrounding an artist whose creative vision continues to stand apart from her peers.
Raised in South Florida, Jenevieve has consistently drawn from both her Cuban and African American heritage while refusing to be confined by traditional genre expectations. Since breaking through with the viral success of “Baby Powder,” which has generated more than 175 million global streams, she has steadily developed a distinctive musical language that blends classic soul textures, modern R&B, alternative pop, and subtle electronic influences.

Working closely with executive producer Elijah Gabor, Jenevieve first established her artistic identity through Division and the Rendezvous EP before expanding that vision with CRYSALIS. The project reshapes R&B traditions, balancing nostalgia with experimentation while allowing every visual, collaboration, and production choice to contribute to a larger artistic narrative.
The release of “Fleur-De-Lis” reinforces that philosophy. Rather than existing as a standalone music video, it functions as another chapter in the evolving world of CRYSALIS, demonstrating Jenevieve’s ability to create music that rewards both careful listening and visual exploration. As her international audience continues to grow, the video further establishes her as one of modern R&B’s most compelling creative voices, equally invested in atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional authenticity.
