There are few things more aggressively American than pop-punk, cheap beer, a Ford Bronco, and fluorescent orange cheese dust. Garage Beer clearly understands this.
The rapidly growing light beer brand has officially launched its sprawling “American Summer” campaign, a season-long nostalgia-fueled spectacle built around limited-edition patriotic beer cans, a collaboration with New Found Glory, a giveaway for a two-tone 1996 Ford Bronco, and what may genuinely be the most ridiculous branded activation of the summer: a life-sized cheese ball pit involving Jason Kelce.
The entire campaign feels intentionally absurd in a way that somehow works. Instead of pretending to be sleek, premium, or aspirational, Garage Beer is leaning fully into backyard Americana mythology: grills smoking at sunset, neighbors blasting music through open garage doors, baseball on the radio, and enough lager to keep the cooler permanently stocked through Labor Day weekend.
At the center of the rollout is “Good to Go,” a new song from New Found Glory arriving June 1 and positioned as the official beer-drinking anthem of the summer. According to the band and brand, the collaboration emerged organically through years of mutual admiration rather than a generic corporate crossover. The track will also appear on the deluxe reissue of the band’s latest album Listen Up!, tying the campaign directly into the group’s ongoing 25th anniversary celebration surrounding “My Friends Over You,” one of the defining summer pop-punk songs of the early 2000s.
Visually, the campaign embraces hyper-patriotic maximalism. Limited-edition cans feature bald eagles clutching cans of Garage Beer themselves, a level of recursive Americana that feels almost performance art adjacent. The company’s press materials openly acknowledge the campaign’s deliberate lack of seriousness, framing the entire thing as an antidote to overcomplication and self-importance.

The nostalgia doesn’t stop there. Garage Beer has also partnered with the Museum of American Speed and college football star Gennings Dunker for a giveaway centered around an original 1996 Ford Bronco in gold-and-green two-tone paint. The brand describes the vehicle as “the ultimate all-American car,” which feels difficult to argue against.
Then there’s the cheese ball situation.
On June 25, Jason Kelce, Beau Allen, and several current and former Philadelphia Eagles players will participate in Garage Beer’s “Million Cheese Ball Challenge” during Beer Bowl in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. The stunt involves athletes battling inside a giant container filled with Utz Cheese Balls, all while raising money for the Eagles Autism Foundation.
It’s ridiculous. Intentionally so.
But that’s also why the campaign stands out. In a branding landscape increasingly dominated by sterile social-media strategy and algorithmic trend chasing, Garage Beer’s “American Summer” campaign feels strangely committed to sincerity beneath the chaos. It understands that nostalgia works best when it’s slightly stupid, deeply familiar, and shared loudly with other people.
And honestly, that might be the most American thing about it.
