Niall Horan is leaning into nostalgia and stillness with his latest single “Little More Time,” released as a preview of his upcoming fourth studio album Dinner Party, arriving June 5 via Capitol Records.
The track stands as one of the most personal moments on the record, with Horan calling it his “favorite song” from the project. Built around warm, organic instrumentation and a reflective tone, “Little More Time” captures the desire to slow everything down and hold onto fleeting moments. It’s a theme that threads throughout Dinner Party, an album rooted in intimacy, connection, and the quiet weight of everyday life.
Horan described the inspiration behind the song as a longing to pause time entirely, to exist within a moment without pressure or outside noise. That sentiment comes through in the song’s pacing, where melodies stretch and linger, giving each line room to breathe. The result is a track that feels both grounded and cinematic, balancing polished pop songwriting with something more contemplative.
Critics have already begun to take note. GQ framed the song as a reflective anthem, drawing on early-2000s influences while tapping into the emotional push and pull of adulthood. That duality, nostalgic yet forward-looking, defines much of Dinner Party, which blends soft rock textures, acoustic warmth, and subtle pop sheen.
The album continues Horan’s long-standing collaboration with producers Julian Bunetta and John Ryan, who serve as executive producers. Together, they shape a cohesive sound that feels less about chasing trends and more about building atmosphere. Additional collaborators including Amy Allen and Joel Little help round out a project that feels both expansive and deeply personal.

Beyond the studio, Horan is set to bring the new material to a wider audience with a performance at the 2026 Citi Concert Series on NBC’s TODAY show on June 12 at Rockefeller Center. He’ll also return to the stage for select U.S. stadium dates alongside Thomas Rhett this summer before launching the UK and European leg of Dinner Party Live On Tour in September.
More than a decade after his breakout with One Direction, Horan has settled into a distinct identity as a solo artist. With over 90 million records sold worldwide and multiple chart-topping albums, he’s proven his longevity. But Dinner Party doesn’t feel like a victory lap. It feels quieter than that. More deliberate. A project focused less on scale and more on presence.
With “Little More Time,” Horan isn’t chasing a moment. He’s trying to hold onto one.
