This week’s On Repeat moves from Midwestern emo to breathless dance-pop and old-school country, with Leisure Hour, JISOO, Waylon Wyatt and Carter Faith delivering the three songs I can’t stop playing.
Mac Miller’s previously unreleased “Butterflies” brings back a voice I’ve deeply missed, Remi Wolf continues an incredible run with “Bottle,” and Nessa Barrett wins me over with the dreamy “Bad Girls Never Die.”
The Womack Sisters revive the power of classic soul with “Monster,” Orville Peck goes cinematic on “Already Gone,” and new music from Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux brings an unexpected and welcome return to West Coast hip-hop.
