Diplo is back in his country era, and this time he is leaning all the way in. The Grammy-winning producer has released “Two Steppin’,” a new collaboration with rising country artist Adrien Nunez, marking his first country single since 2025. The track arrives via Atlantic Outpost and lands just days after its live debut in front of a massive Stagecoach crowd.
The rollout was not subtle. Diplo and Nunez premiered “Two Steppin’” during Diplo’s closing set at Stagecoach, playing to more than 65,000 fans. It was a calculated move that placed the song directly in front of one of the most engaged country audiences in the country, and it paid off. The record feels built for that exact environment. It is loose, upbeat, and engineered for movement, pulling from both honky-tonk rhythms and electronic bounce without overcomplicating either.
Diplo has spent the past few years quietly building credibility in country under his Thomas Wesley project, and “Two Steppin’” continues that trajectory. Where earlier releases leaned more traditional, this one pushes further into hybrid territory. Nunez brings a natural country tone that keeps the track grounded, while Diplo handles the pacing and energy with the instincts of a festival headliner. The result sits somewhere between a dance record and a barroom staple, which is exactly the lane Diplo has been carving out.
The release also marks Diplo’s first with Atlantic Outpost, signaling a deeper investment in country moving forward. That shift is backed by momentum. His previous crossover hit “Heartless” with Morgan Wallen remains one of the biggest country-pop records in recent memory, and his Stagecoach presence continues to grow through his HonkyTonk stage, which blends genres in a way few festival spaces attempt.

Outside of country, Diplo is still operating at full scale. From Coachella main stage appearances with Major Lazer to production work on major global releases and his expanding Run Club series, he is moving across scenes without slowing down. But right now, the focus is clear. “Two Steppin’” is not a one-off. It is another step in a long-term play to reshape where country and dance music meet.
