Moby is returning to California this fall for two rare North American headline performances, bringing his full live band production to San Francisco and Pasadena in November.
The multi-Platinum, five-time GRAMMY-nominated electronic music pioneer will perform at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Thursday, November 5, followed by a massive outdoor show at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, November 7. The dates are currently Moby’s only two confirmed North American live performances.
The San Francisco date deserves particular attention. Moby remains an incredible live performer, and his current live-band configuration turns a catalog often associated with headphones, clubs and late-night electronic music into something considerably bigger and more physical in the room. Following a standout Coachella performance earlier this year and a sold-out European summer tour, the Bill Graham show offers a relatively rare chance to see that production inside one of San Francisco’s largest historic concert venues.
Moby will be joined in San Francisco by special guests Azzecca and DJ Holographic. The 18+ show is produced by Goldenvoice and Another Planet Entertainment.
Two nights later, the scale expands again at Brookside at the Rose Bowl, where Moby will headline an open-air bill featuring special guests Underworld, along with Fcukers, a DJ set from Nia Archives and DJ Holographic. Set on the grass-covered golf course adjacent to the Rose Bowl Stadium, the Pasadena show pairs two artists whose work helped define different corners of electronic music’s enormous 1990s crossover into popular culture.
Underworld’s presence makes the November 7 date particularly substantial. More than three decades after dubnobasswithmyheadman and the era-defining “Born Slippy (Nuxx),” Rick Smith and Karl Hyde remain formidable live performers rather than simply a legacy booking. Their recent resurgence has included a sold-out 2025 U.S. tour, festival appearances and collaborations with a younger generation of electronic artists.
For Moby, the pair of California dates arrives more than 35 years into a career that has repeatedly moved between electronic music, punk, ambient music, pop and dance culture. Born Richard Melville Hall, Moby came of age in the early New York punk scene before emerging in electronic music with “Go” in 1991. He has since sold more than 20 million albums worldwide while producing and remixing artists including David Bowie, Public Enemy, Ozzy Osbourne, Beastie Boys and Daft Punk.

His live return also puts renewed focus on the sheer depth of the catalog. A Moby performance can move through the ecstatic pulse of “Go” and “Bodyrock,” the gospel-sampled melancholy of Play, the widescreen electronic atmosphere of “Porcelain” and “Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?” and the heavier material that reveals how much rock and punk DNA has always existed underneath his electronic production.
After his acclaimed live-band appearance at Coachella 2026 and subsequent European dates, both California performances are being billed around immersive production and high-energy sets drawing from that expansive body of work.
For Northern California audiences, however, November 5 is the one to circle. Moby does not currently have a larger North American tour attached to these dates, making Bill Graham Civic Auditorium one of only two announced opportunities on the continent to see this iteration of his live show.
Presales for both performances begin Wednesday, August 26 at 10 a.m. PT. General ticket sales begin Thursday, August 27 at 10 a.m. PT.
