She Wants Revenge have released the She Wants Revenge (Expanded Edition) 20th anniversary album, a reissue of their self-titled debut, out now via UMG Recordings.
Marking two decades since the original 2005 release, the Expanded Edition album arrives as both a retrospective and a reintroduction, pairing the record’s original 14 tracks with a deep archive of demos, remixes, acoustic versions, and unreleased material. The release is anchored by “Sarah Says,” an early-era track now officially available for the first time, offering a raw and unfiltered look at the band’s formative sound.
At the time of its release, She Wants Revenge carved out a distinct lane within dark alternative and post-punk revival, driven by minimalist production, brooding lyricism, and a tension that translated seamlessly from clubs to live stages. Tracks like “Tear You Apart” and “These Things” became defining entries in mid-2000s alternative music, shaping a sound that continues to echo across today’s darkwave and indie scenes.
That influence has only grown. The band now reaches more than 2.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, while catalog cuts have resurfaced through viral traction on TikTok, introducing She Wants Revenge to a new generation. The Expanded Edition reframes the debut not as a relic, but as a blueprint, exposing the stripped-down architecture behind the band’s signature restraint and atmosphere.

Beyond the release, She Wants Revenge are bringing that momentum back to the stage. The band will headline The Wiltern in Los Angeles on April 23, followed by appearances at Sick New World in Las Vegas and Fort Worth later this year.
Twenty years in, She Wants Revenge (Expanded Edition) lands with unusual clarity. This deluxe album is a reminder that the band’s original language, equal parts shadow and pulse, still holds weight in the present.
